A night FPV-drone “Komar” (Mosquito – ed.) of the 82nd Air Assault Brigade of “Wild Division” Strike Unmanned Aerial Systems Company “crept up” on the invaders and hit them.

The corresponding video was published by the press service of the Company.

The video shows the night’s “Komar” slowly chasing a group of two Russian infantrymen in a wood line.

Despite the fact that the drone was almost behind the invaders, they did not hear it and continued to move.

When the Russians stopped, the operator of the FPV drone aimed it at the back of one of the enemy infantry, leaving him no chance of survival.

“The night is dark and full of horror,” added the Company.

Development of FPV drones in Ukraine

Recently, Militarnyi reported that the Wild Hornets volunteer engineering group had showed the tests of an FPV drone with a target detection, lock on and tracking system.

The released footage shows the FPV drone, while in PREPARE mode, highlighting people’s silhouettes in green.

After that, the crosshairs of the sight are pointed at a person and TRACKING mode is turned on, at the same time the selected silhouette of a person turns red.

Tracing, selection and tracking of targets occurs automatically, but the lock on can be performed manually.

Wild Hornets engineers reported that the drone was equipped with a neural network that worked thanks to a Ukrainian microcomputer.

It was also reported that FPV drones had appeared in service with the Ukrainian Defense Forces, which were capable of flying at a speed of about 150 kilometers per hour.

The released footage shows pilots of the Erebus Group unit of the company of strike unmanned aircraft complexes of the 82nd brigade of the Airborne Forces catching up with enemy vehicles without problems.
