On the morning of Friday, April 19, a Tu-22M3 long-range supersonic bomber fell in Russia after an attack on Ukraine.

A video of the crash and the wreckage of the aircraft were released by telegram channels of the aggressor state.

The bomber fell in a field in the Krasnogvardeisky district of the Stavropol Krai.

The fact of the aviation accident was confirmed by the governor of this Russian region, Vladimir Vladimirov.

The published video of eyewitnesses shows the aircraft burning and falling to the ground in a flat spin.

Currently it is unknown, what caused the fall of one of the supersonic long-range bombers, which Russia regularly uses for missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine.

According to the Russian governor, the pilots ejected from the Tu-22M3 and were found alive, they were hospitalized.

Previously, as a result of the fall of a bomber-bomber, no one was injured.

Subsequently, the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country reported that the cause of the accident was allegedly a technical malfunction, but this information requires verification.

According to monitoring channels, on Friday, Russians attacked Odesa with Kh-22 cruise missiles early in the morning. Other Ukrainian regions could also be hit by these missiles. This information is currently being clarified.

Tu-22M3 is a long-range supersonic bomber designed to engage ground and surface targets. The aircraft can carry three Kh-22 long-range supersonic missiles. Russia has repeatedly used such aircraft in the war with Ukraine.
