The Ukrainian military advanced in the direction of occupied Klischiivka of the Bakhmut district.

Soldiers of the 24th Separate Assault Battalion “Aidar” carried out a successful assault on the Russian position.

Footage featuring the combat work of the Aidar Battalion was released on social media in the “Govoryat Sniper” Telegram group.

During the battle, Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed a Russian tank that came to the aid of the invaders.

“Another successful assault by the 24th Separate Assault Battalion “Aidar” with the destruction of an enemy tank that tried to “work out” our assault groups,” the report says.

According to analysts who analyzed the maps, the battle took place between the settlements of Ivanovske and Klischiivka.

The settlement of Klischiivka was lost by Ukrainian forces in January of this year.

Klishchiyivka is located five kilometers south of Bakhmut. The village covered the approaches both to the city itself and to the route from Kostiantynivka, which supplies the Ukrainian garrison.

On May 26, Major Rodion Kudryashov, Deputy Commander of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are now moving forward in the area of Klischiivka.

“It is in this direction (Klishchiivka, – Ed.) that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are improving the situation, we have the initiative and are moving forward with the help of our forces and means. These are very important steps not only to inflict damage on the enemy but also to actually change the tactical setup in this direction,” he said.

Also this month, it was reported that the Ukrainian military launched a successful attack on the location of the Russian invaders in occupied Klishchiivka.

“As a result of the attack on the positions of the 4th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade, the 2nd Army Corps of the Russian invasion forces, approximately 20 invaders were eliminated, including the commander and chief of staff of the brigade, and one of the deputy commanders of the 2nd Army Corps,” Ukrainian officer Anatoly Shtefan reported.
