American NEROS to Supply 6000 FPV Drones To Ukraine
The American company NEROS has received a contract to supply 6000 Archer FPV drones to Ukraine.
The company stated it would deliver all the drones within 6 months.
The tender started with 260 companies and included several rounds of rigorous testing, which eventually led to the selection of the Archer FPV.
“Building large numbers of FPVs quickly is a challenge for American manufacturers, but it is the foundation of Neros’ work,” company representatives stated.
The Archer is an 8-inch FPV drone that can carry a 2 kilogram warhead over a distance of 20 kilometers or more.
The drone is designed to fly at night and during the day, as well as in adverse weather conditions. Archer operates on multiple control frequencies and has a broadband video transmitter.
“Jamming is a problem for everyone, including us, but we’ve shown very strong results,” said Soren Anderson, “Because we design all of our radios ourselves and have been studying what works in Ukraine for over a year, we use very different equipment than other U.S. drone companies.”
The Ukrainian contract does not include payloads, as the Ukrainian military plans to use domestically produced warheads, although Monroe-Anderson seems to think this may be a mistake. Neros, together with its partner, Kraken Kinetics, is working on specially designed warheads.
“We’ve seen that the system as a whole is much more effective when the drone and warhead are designed together, so we’re prioritizing that,” a company spokesman said.
The American company is now focused on creating the most powerful and technologically advanced FPV system in the Western world.

“Our adversaries can produce millions of FPVs, and right now the U.S. military is far behind most of the world in the use of FPV drones. We want to fix this,” the company said.
As a reminder, Ukrainian Armor has recently developed an attack FPV drone equipped with a 60 mm mortar shell.
