Azov Brigade Reinforced with Ukrainian-Made Sirko-S1 Ground Drones
The Azov Brigade received new Skylab Sirko-S1 ground drones.
Volunteer Ihor Lachenkov reported that ground platforms were sent to the 6th Battalion of Azov Brigade.
“We’ve managed to collect UAH 11.7 million, and now all this property (including Sirko-S1 – ed.) has come to the arsenal of the battalion,” the volunteer said.
The Sirko-S1 drone was developed by the Ukrainian company SkyLab UA, which specializes on the development and production of robotic systems and military UAVs.
Sirko-S1 ground robotic platform for flexible purposes can be used for various tasks.
The list of possible tasks includes:
- Cargo transportation – up to 200 kg of cargo at a distance of 2.5 km, which makes it convenient for delivering ammunition, provisions and medicines to the front line.
- Evacuation of wounded from the battlefield.
- Reconnaissance – the robot is equipped with a thermal imager, a laser rangefinder system and a camera that allows it to scout enemy positions.
The platform can be upgraded with modules that are compatible and can be quickly installed.
This makes the robot versatile and allows it to be used in various applications.
Sirko-S1 is also resistant to extreme operating conditions, has encrypted communication for control and video, as well as electric drive for all four wheels with power regeneration modes.
The development of Sirko-S1 UGV took a total of six months. The robot is now in serial production.
“The system is multifunctional and helps our defenders in reconnaissance, surveillance, evacuation of wounded, transportation of cargo and even demining,” Brave Inventors said.
Recall that recently Ukraine conducted demonstration tests of medical evacuation equipment for Western partners.
