Bloomberg: Britain delivers a new batch of Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine

The United Kingdom has recently transferred a new batch of Storm Shadow cruise missiles to Ukraine as part of its military assistance.

Bloomberg reports this with reference to its own sources.

The deliveries were not publicly announced and probably took place a few weeks ago.

The media notes that this happened even before the decision of the United States and the United Kingdom to allow strikes with long-range weapons deep into Russian territory.

The British Ministry of Defense refused to comment on the information for security reasons. It only added that the UK’s support for Ukraine is “ironclad.”

Most likely, it was the decision of the US presidential administration that prompted the UK government to decide on the possible use of Storm Shadow against targets on Russian territory, which politicians have been discussing almost since the beginning of the operation of SCALP/Storm Shadow missiles by the Ukrainian Air Force.

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently also confirmed Ukraine’s ability to launch French cruise missiles at Russian territory.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot’s words came after Ukrainian forces fired cruise missiles and American ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles at Russia.

Ukrainian aviation struck a Russian army command post near the village of Maryino in the Kursk region with Storm Shadow missiles.

The strike was launched on November 20. It was executed by the soldiers of the consolidated unit of the 78th Airborne Assault Regiment “Dzhmil” and the crew of the “Harpoon” of the 413th Separate Unmanned Systems Battalion. They did this with the help of a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone, which also recorded the aftermath.

Strikes by SCALP/Storm Shadow missiles on high-value targets in Russia can cause significant losses and contribute to the reduction of the capabilities of the Russian invasion forces.

Storm Shadow is designed to destroy important fixed and stationary targets, including underground bunkers.
