British farmers have donated 26 off-road vehicles to the Ukrainian Defense Forces as part of the Pickups for Peace charity event.

This was announced by the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi.

A volunteer group led by British farmer Mark Laird delivered the vehicles to Lviv on their own. The cars were received as part of a charity event free of charge from farmers or purchased in used condition and repaired.

Thanks to their tireless work and desire to help Ukraine and its defenders, this transfer has become significant, as the 26 pickup trucks have increased the total number of vehicles transferred to more than 500 units.

Thanks to this contribution, Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Association, solemnly awarded Mark Laird, a volunteer and founder of the Pickups for Peace initiative, with a badge from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.

“Today I had the honor to present him with a badge from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi. This award is a gratitude on behalf of our entire nation and all our people for everything Mark and his friends are doing to strengthen our soldiers,” Kozitskyi stated.

The vehicles were handed over to the defenders of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Major General Mark Bezruchko, the units of the National Guard of Ukraine and other military formations.

In addition, the vehicles were equipped with humanitarian aid, necessary equipment for the military who will use these vehicles at the front line, as well as winter tires, which are extremely needed due to the onset of winter.

Vehicles at the front are one of the main means of transportation of the military, evacuation of the wounded and supply of provisions and ammunition.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that the British farmers have donated their own off-road vehicles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as those they purchase at their own expense.

In addition to the citizens of the United Kingdom, the citizens of the United States and the Netherlands and other countries also participated in this campaign.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that the German Ambassador to Ukraine had handed over armored Toyota Land Cruiser 300 SUVs to the border guards.
