The Canadian government has agreed to transfer additional Leopard 2 tanks and ammunition to Ukraine.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the decision to transfer four more Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.

Thus, Canada plans to transfer a total of eight such tanks to Ukraine.

“Today, Canada announces new military aid to friends in Ukraine. We will transfer four additional Leopard 2 tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as one armored recovery vehicle,” Trudeau said.

Along with an armored recovery vehicle and tanks, Canada is transferring more than 5,000 155 mm artillery rounds.

Ottawa has already prepared and sent the first four Leopard 2 tanks for Ukraine to one of the European countries.

There, Ukrainian soldiers will learn to operate Western armored vehicles.
