Local partisans claimed responsibility for the explosion. A related video address was published on the “RIA-Melitopol” Telegram channel.

“Spring hunting continues. This morning, our guys in Melitopol blew up a well-known traitor, Maksym Zubarev. This beast is still in the hospital, but our people are already there, so the job will be done. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Andryusha Siguta, Vova Rogov and Zhenia Balitsky. You guys are next. Most of the time, like rats, you are hiding out in the Crimea, but every time you come to the city, it can be your last one. See you soon. Glory to Ukraine”, the statement reads.

As previously reported, on March 27, due to an explosion in Melitopol, a building used by Russian security forces was damaged.

It was the premises of an educational institution, which the invaders used as barracks and administrative buildings of structures, in that case it was the so-called “Ministry for State Security”.
