Come Back Alive Foundation Equips Edelweiss Brigade with Shark UAVs
The Come Back Alive Foundation has handed over Shark reconnaissance drones to the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade “Edelweiss”.
The foundation’s press service reported about this on its Facebook page.
The drones will be used in the eastern direction, where the brigade is currently defending from constant Russian attacks.
In total, three Shark drones were handed over, which will significantly improve the brigade’s capability to detect the enemy, adjust fire, and conduct reconnaissance activities.
The drone can reach a speed of 130 km/h and penetrate up to 80 km into enemy territory. Its advanced optics, featuring 120x zoom, enable precise monitoring, keeping the enemy effectively “within arm’s reach.”
According to the Come Back Alive Foundation, this reinforcement was made possible thanks to a contribution of UAH 9,281,421 from NPC Ukrenergo.
The Shark multifunctional unmanned aerial vehicle system is designed for a wide range of missions.
It is with these drones that the Ukrainian military detects Russian equipment and positions, and then targets them with long-range weapons.
Shark reconnaissance drones are manufactured by the Ukrainian company Ukrspecsystems. The UAV provides fully autonomous reconnaissance, surveillance, clear identification, and recognition from a long distance and high altitude.
When equipped with a daytime camera, the drone can record video in Full HD and at 30x magnification.
The Shark is characterized by good protection against enemy electronic warfare (EW) systems and a range of 60-80 kilometers, depending on the modification. The flight range of the Ukrainian-made drone is 300 kilometers, and its duration is more than 4 hours.
Militarnyi previously reported that the Come Back Alive Foundation, together with the Podorozhnyk pharmacy chain, launched a fundraising campaign as part of the new Formula of Communication project.
