The Defense Forces of Ukraine received 1,000 new ATGL-L3 anti-tank grenade launchers.

The Come Back Alive Foundation handed over the weapons to the Ukrainian defenders.

16 brigades received grenade launchers.

Weapons were purchased abroad. The value of this batch of grenade launchers is €4 million.

The General Staff and Logistics Forces assisted in distributing the weapons so that they were received by the units preparing to carry out or already conducting assault operations. They also focused on preventing the duplication of weapons that the Armed Forces of Ukraine received from the state.

“The units that are already involved or will participate in the summer offensive campaign were on the receiving end for the weapons,” says Taras Chmut, Director of the Come Back Alive Foundation.

The Foundation noted a huge demand for anti-tank grenade launchers in the military.

The ATGL-L3 grenade launcher that the Come Back Alive Foundation purchased is already familiar to Ukrainian soldiers. Therefore, they will not need additional training to use it.

The Foundation emphasizes that this is a simple, reliable, and effective weapon. Ukraine can buy ammunition for it from European manufacturers or receive it as defense aid from Western partners.

ATGL-L 40mm anti-tank grenade launchers are produced by the Bulgarian company Arsenal. This grenade launcher is essentially a lighter version of the Soviet RPG-7, for which new types of rounds have been developed. They are designed to defeat the enemy’s armored vehicles and manpower.

At the end of April, the Come Back Alive Foundation reported that it had handed over to the Ukrainian military 1,460 Bulgarian-made 7.62 mm MG-1M machine guns worth EUR 6,570,000. The 21st combat brigade received the new 7.62mm light machine guns.

Last year, the Come Back Alive Foundation became the first charity organization in Ukraine that received permission to purchase goods for dual and military purposes from abroad, including lethal weapons. The Foundation was the first buyer of the Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle systems in Ukraine. In the fall, it handed over 11 armored vehicles to the marines defending Mariupol.
