Come Back Alive Foundation raises UAH 5 million for interceptor drones for the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine
The Come Back Alive Foundation is raising UAH 5 million to buy interceptor drones for the soldiers of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
The foundation announced this on Friday, November 15, on its official social media pages.
The announcement of a new fundraising campaign within the framework of the Dronefall project was timed to coincide with the anniversary of one of the foundation’s most successful projects, Black Box.
UAH 5,000,000 is being raised for the Ukrainian defenders:
- FPV drones;
- “ground drones”;
- remote controls;
- power supply and other essentials.
The Come Back Alive Foundation said that the property purchased with that money would be given to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
These soldiers are covering the Special Forces, who operate long-range kamikaze drones that strike at the important targets in the far rear of the aggressor country.
“Black Box + Dronefall = the protection of those who reduce the offensive potential of Russian troops,” the foundation emphasized.
Вlack Box
The fundraising campaign for the Black Box project, which aims to reduce the enemy’s offensive potential, was announced by Come Back Alive Foundation and blogger Ihor Lachenkov on November 15, 2022. Without disclosing any details, they managed to accumulate UAH 230 million.
One of the elements of the Black Box was the Ukrainian-made Bober long-range kamikaze drone. It successfully performed the missions in the temporarily occupied Crimea and other Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine and at the military facilities on enemy territory.
According to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, in the first 8 months of 2023, the Black Box caused more than $900 million in damage to the enemy.
Dronefall
The fundraising campaign for the Dronefall project started on August 7. It is open-ended, with the aim of shooting down 1,000 enemy reconnaissance drones using modernized FPV drones. The project involves not only the purchase of anti-aircraft drones, but also the creation and provision of cover teams with pickup trucks, communications, power, and night vision.
