Drones hit an oil refinery in the Kaluga region of Russia

On the night of Friday, March 15, drones attacked an oil refinery in the Kaluga region of Russia.

A video of one of the hits was posted online.

According to some Russian Telegram channels, the company’s equipment was damaged as a result of the hit.

The attack reportedly began at 4 a.m. and lasted half an hour.

Drones attacked the Pervyi Zavod petrochemical company, which processes oil.

The company is located near the village of Polotnyany Zavod in the Dzerzhynsk district of the Kaluga region. It is about 300 km from the Ukrainian border.

According to ASTRA Telegram channel, three drones hit the company’s technological equipment, damaging it.

At the same time, in the morning, the governor of the region, Vladislav Shapsha, said that “4 drones were allegedly shot down in the region” and that “there were no casualties or damage to infrastructure.”

Later, a Suspilne source confirmed that on the night of March 15, Ukrainian drones attacked an oil refinery in the Kaluga region of Russia. It was a special operation of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

According to the source, the drones reached their target and hit the designated object.

This Russian enterprise was used for military purposes, the source said.

In recent days drone attacks were carried out on three more oil refineries in the depths of Russian territory. They had damaged technological equipment.
