Equipment of the Russian Federation was destroyed near Pervomaisk

Russian military with armored vehicles attempted to attack the settlement of Pervomaisk.

Tanks and armored personnel carriers of the invaders were destroyed during the battle.

Soldiers from the 59th Yakiv Handziuk Independent Motorized Infantry Brigade met the Russian invasion forces.

The Russian attack on the brigade’s forces was first reported on May 19.

The brigade noted the use of American Javelin anti-tank systems against the Russian armored vehicles, which stopped the offensive.

“Good guys always take the upper hand and punish the evildoers. Our infantrymen not only held back the enemy’s advance but also left them without a weapon,” the 59th Yakiv Handziuk Independent Motorized Infantry Brigade shared.

On May 20, a Ukrainian officer with the call sign Madyar released a video featuring the destruction of Russian tanks.

“Good Saturday morning. 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade. Badgers beat worms,” “Madyar” commented on the video.

On May 20, an additional video capturing this attack was published on social media.

The video features the Russian offensive forces coming under fire from the Ukrainian 59th Yakiv Handziuk Independent Motorized Infantry Brigade. Some armored vehicles were hit by a Javelin ATGM.

Ukrainian forces met the Russian military at positions between the settlements of Pisky and Pervomaisk.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on May 19, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the direction of Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, and Pervomaisk.
