Explosions heard again near Antonivsky bridge in Kherson
Up to 10 powerful explosions rang out in Kherson.
Media and local Telegram channels inform on the shelling of the Antonivsky bridge.
The occupation authorities claim that the anti-aircraft defense system went off 10 times.
At the same time, photos featuring smoke in the area of the Antonivsky bridge are released online.
Eyewitnesses also released videos featuring recordings of the sounds of explosions.
The deputy of the Kherson Regional Council, Serhii Khlan, confirmed the strikes on the Antonivsky bridge.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine are striking the Antonivsky bridge again. We didn’t have to wait long: the Russians repaired it – our Armed Forces of Ukraine corrected it. We are depleting the enemy in Kherson Region,” he wrote.
As previously reported, on the night of August 14, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Antonivsky bridge in the Kherson Region once again. Nataliya Humenyuk, a spokesperson for the press center of the Southern Defense Forces, stated this on the air of the telethon.
“We continue fire control over transport and logistics arteries in the temporarily occupied territory, as we have a clear intention to help the occupiers make the right decision and direct their next “gesture of good will” in the direction we need,” Humenyuk said.
Previously, the invaders admitted that the Antonivskyi Road Bridge across the Dnipro River in Kherson was seriously damaged after night shelling. The bridge has strategic importance for the Russian army. It is one of the main supply bridges used by invasion groups in Kherson to get to the right bank of the Dnipro River.
The bridge in the area of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant and Daryivka bridge across the Inhulets River in the Kherson Region were also damaged.
The invaders used crossings to cross the Dnipro River and the Inhulets River.
