The Ukrainian FPV drone managed to cover tens of kilometers and hit a Grad multiple rocket launcher.

The soldiers of the Attack Drone Company “Heavenly Mara” said that special antennas helped them fly over such distances.

“We have drones and antennas to fly this distance. Now the question is about the batteries,” said the soldiers of the 43rd Mechanized Brigade.

A Russian BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher was hit by a drone near the village of Bohorodytske in the Luhansk region.

The village is approximately 20 kilometers from the line of contact.

Long-range drones are often not launched directly from the front line. Also, drones do not always fly in a straight line to the target.

The Attack Drone Company “Heavenly Mara” noted that the drone had to fly 31 kilometers to the multiple rocket launcher.

“We work in such a way that the enemy has nowhere to feel safe,” the soldiers said.

Supposedly, the Ukrainian troops have received powerful repeaters for FPV drones.

Repeaters extend the range of an FPV drone by amplifying the video signal from the drone’s camera to the pilot’s receiver.

Conventional FPV drones have a limited range due to poor communication over long distances. For this purpose, antennas are installed on other drones, which improve communication between the operator and the attack drone from the air.

Also, Russian engineers increase the range of FPV drones and their resistance to electronic warfare.
