Germany Hands Over Armored Toyota Land Cruisers to Ukrainian Border Guards
The German ambassador to Ukraine handed over armored Toyota Land Cruiser 300 SUVs to border guards, according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The State Service representatives also added that the ambassador handed over a Kawasaki buggy.
These all-terrain vehicles will be assigned to the border guard unit DOZOR.
Due to international support, the border guards’ special forces unit will continue to develop and re-equip.
The donated Kawasaki Mule Pro-DXT buggies are designed for everyday work in various conditions and can carry 2 to 4 people.
To convert the four-seater MULE into a two-seater, the rear row of seats can simply be folded down, and the hinged rear wall extended.
Due to the new diesel engine created specifically for the MULE PRO-DXT and PRO-DX, the payload has been significantly increased.
The donated armored Toyota Land Cruiser 300 will allow the fighters of the Dozor unit to move more safely while patrolling the border.
Armored to the BR6 level, the Toyota Land Cruiser provides 360-degree protection against assault rifles and hand grenades.
Due to the updated transmission, the TLC300 also provides powerful performance and high off-road maneuverability.
The 10th Mobile Border Guard Detachment DOZOR has been involved in the Russian-Ukrainian war for a long time. DOZOR is an abbreviation. It stands for “Tenth Separate Operational Response Detachment,” a special unit of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The Americans began training this unit even before the full-scale war. It was with its commander that Secretary Blinken spoke during his visit to Kyiv.
