Germany to transfer 30 GEREON RCS ground drones to Ukraine by the end of the year
The German government has financed 30 GEREON RCS unmanned ground platforms for the needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Representatives of the German Aid to Ukraine announced this on the social media X.
The CEO of ARX Robotics, which manufactures these platforms, reportedly confirmed that deliveries have already begun and should be completed by the end of the year.
He also said that ARX Robotics will set up its own technology and maintenance center in Ukraine.
The center will be used to quickly adapt the platform, establish operational maintenance, and research cooperation with Ukrainian engineers and startups.
The GEREON RCS is a multipurpose tracked modular platform that can carry various payloads and combat loads weighing up to 500 kilograms over a distance of up to 40 kilometers.
The family of drones includes four representatives: GEREON RCS, GEREON ATR, GEREON 3, and GEREON 2.
The German Bundeswehr is already piloting ARX Robotics’ ground platforms.
