HIMARS and Pegasus hit the Russian Giatsint-S self-propelled guns
The Ukrainian military destroyed the Russian Giatsint-S 152mm self-propelled guns in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.
American GMLRS rockets and conventional Ukrainian-made FPV-drone were engaged in the combat mission.
The first 2S5 Giatsint-S was destroyed in a forest between the settlements of Novohorivka and Chystopillya.
Fire from the American М142 HIMARS MRL was coordinated by an aerial reconnaissance unit of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade.
The Ukranian military managed to hit the Russian self-propelled installation with only one Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) rocket.
As a result, the ACS received serious damage, caught fire, and was completely destroyed.

The elimination of these 2S5 Giatsint-S 152mm self-propelled guns makes it easier for Ukrainian gunners to conduct counter-battery warfare and offensive actions.
Another similar ACS was hit in the Donetsk region with the help of the Pegasus FPV-drone, which is made in Ukraine.
Engagement to destroy the gun was shown by the “Magyar” unit, which has been operating for a long time in the junction areas of the Zaporizhzhya and Donetsk regions.
The Ukrainian military, with the help of Pegasus drones, affects both the equipment and the manpower of the Russian invaders.
In fact, Pegasus are FPV-drones quadcopter-type that are made of inexpensive foreign parts and equipped with explosives. Such drones are transferred to many units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the SSU.

Recall that in May 2023, it became known that the American defense company Red Cat would supply hundreds of high-speed FPV-drones to equip the AFU.
