On the eve of July 23, the Ukrainian servicemen destroyed Russian base in the occupied Kadiivka (former Stakhanov) settlement in the Luhansk region.

The missiles hit the building of the former college №9, which is located at 9 Gagarina Street.

It became known that the building was used as a barrack by soldiers of the Russian National Guard (“Rosgvardia”).

One of the Russian soldiers released a video on social media after the shelling and made some comments on the losses.

“Today at 10 p.m. they hit us, that’s what is left of our location. They completely smashed us, the guys were crushed under the soil,” the Russian fighter said.

Information about the Russian Guard soldiers demolished on July 23 also spread on social media.

It was reported that at least 12 fighters of the Sakhalin riot police unit (part of Russian Guard) were trapped under the debris.

“According to some reports, 12 people died. Many of these guys recently changed another detachment, which, after successfully completing a combat mission, returned to Sakhalin,” the relatives and friends of the dead invaders said in a statement.

American missiles from HIMARS penetrated several floors of the barracks and partially destroyed it.

“As a result of the shelling of the Stakhanov settlement, namely the Stakhanov Polytechnic College, the building was practically destroyed. Adjacent houses were also damaged. Physical evidence in the form of guided missile fragments from the US-made M142 HIMARS rocket systems was detached and seized at the scene. Many impressive elements were also found,” the invaders said in a statement.
