The Yemeni Houthis have launched a ballistic missile at the capital of Israel, Tel Aviv.

Israeli emergency services and the military reported the strike on the capital.

The strike took place on the morning of December 21, 2024, in the Tel Aviv-Jaffa area, leaving 14 local residents with injuries of varying severity.

The ballistic missile hit a park in the south of the city without causing serious damage to civilian or military infrastructure.

In turn, according to the Israeli military, they failed to intercept the ballistic missile, despite launching two anti-missiles at the target.

It is not yet known which missile defense systems had launched the two interceptors, but a successful interception ultimately had failed.

At the same time, the Iranian-backed Yemeni Houthis claimed through their information channels that they had successfully hit a military target, although actual photos of the site of the attack do not confirm this.

It should be noted that, according to Iranian proxies, this strike was a response to the Israeli Air Force’s air strike on December 19, 2024, on ports and energy infrastructure in parts of Yemen controlled by the Houthis.

In addition, the Israeli government and the Ministry of Defense said that in case of further confrontation, the strikes would continue, but with greater force.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that Israel had struck at the base of the Syrian Navy’s missile boats in the port of Latakia.

According to local media reports, the attack on the Latakia port was carried out on the night of December 9, 2024. The released footage shows six destroyed Soviet-made Project 205 Moskit missile boats.

Due to their condition, it is difficult to accurately determine their modification. In general, it is known that the USSR had sold sixteen Project 205 Mosquito boats to Syria.

In addition to the port, on December 16, an ammunition storage facility near the village of Bimalka, about 10 km from Tartus, was struck.

The strike caused a magnitude 3 earthquake, which was recorded on December 6, 2024 at 00:48 local time, when, according to monitoring services, the Israeli Air Force launched a missile strike.

The explosion was also recorded 820 km from the epicenter in Iznik, Turkey. The Volcano Discovery monitoring service recorded the explosion at a depth of 5 kilometers.

According to the FIRMS service, which is used by NASA to detect abnormally high temperatures on the planet, the epicenter of the explosion is located at the coordinates 34.924402, 35.991990.
