“The value of the new military assistance package to Ukraine from Lithuania will reach about € 41 million. It will consist of sent equipment, new acquisitions, contributions to international funds,” Anušauskas wrote on Twitter.
The Minister of Defense of Lithuania made this announcement after his visit to Ukraine.
It should be noted that recently, Oleksii Reznikov, Head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and his Lithuanian counterpart visited Kharkiv.
Reznikov thanked Lithuania for its support in restoring peace and reviving Ukrainian cities that suffered significant damage as a result of hostilities by the Russian invaders.
In March, Lithuania announced the transfer of 155 mm artillery shells to Ukraine. The new military aid package also includes vehicles and military rations.
“The total cost of military assistance that Lithuania provides to Ukraine will soon reach €450 million,” Arvydas Anušauskas said.
The Armed Forces of Lithuania are training the Ukrainian military to service M113 tracked armored personnel carriers and PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers.
Lithuanian military personnel introduces the theoretical knowledge to the Ukrainian servicemen. They show the structure of armored personnel carriers, self-propelled howitzers, and their mechanical components in practice.
Military assistance that Lithuania provides to Ukraine includes a variety of weapons, ammunition, thermal imaging, drones, anti-drone equipment, military training, etc.
