Lithuania Provides Support to Ukraine: Generators, Ammunition, and M113 Parts
Lithuania has handed over another batch of military aid to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
This was reported by the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.
It is reported that the new tranche of military aid includes generators, spare parts for M113 tracked armored personnel carriers, weapons and ammunition.
“Lithuania continues its unwavering support for Ukraine. This week we delivered generators, spare parts for M113 tracked armored vehicles, weapons and ammunition. Everything Ukraine needs to win. Solidarity remains unwavering,” the statement reads.
The Lithuanian Defense Ministry also stated that Lithuania’s support for Ukraine in 2025 will include lethal and non-lethal assistance, contributions to funds, training and rehabilitation of soldiers, and expert advice.
The country will also finance the Coalition for Mine Action, join the Czech ammunition initiative, and purchase drones and anti-drone systems from Lithuanian manufacturers.
Recently, on November 23, it was reported that Lithuania would soon transfer the first tranche to support Ukrainian weapons for strikes deep into Russia.
This is a long-term agreement under which funding of €10 million has already been agreed.
Lithuania will use these funds to produce Ukrainian long-range weapons, including the Palianytsia project.
Previously, it was reported that Lithuania would ease the conditions for the purchase of weapons by public administration entities for the needs of Ukraine.
To this end, the Cabinet of Ministers of Lithuania has decided to submit amendments to the relevant law to the Lithianian Parliament (Seimas.)
If the amendments to the law on arms and ammunition control are adopted, Lithuanian public administration entities will be able to organize the purchase of category A weapons, arms accessories, and ammunition for Ukraine.
