The National Army of Moldova will conduct mobilization exercises for reservists as part of a routine check of their combat readiness and skills.

News Maker reported on this.

The exercises will take place in the second half of May, with the first stage to be held between May 20 and 24, and the second from May 27 to 31.

Currently, the Moldovan Ministry of Defense is holding a meeting of reservists who are to receive calls at their place of residence and report to military commissariats shortly.

According to the Ministry, this will be the second training of reservists this year. The first was held in March, and the third is scheduled for June.

The May exercises will last five days. The main purpose of the exercise is to test the reservists’ skills.

In addition, the reservists will be able to improve their knowledge of military regulations, weapons handling skills, and knowledge of materiel.

“The exercises take place under the law on the reserve of the armed forces and the training plan of the National Army for 2024,” the Ministry of Defense noted.

It should be noted that despite the ongoing exercises, the Armed Forces of Moldova do not have a high level of combat capability.

Despite this, the country continues to receive modern weapons from European countries, such as armored vehicles and radars.

Militarnyi previously reported that the Moldovan army received a medical assistance package from NATO within the Defense Capacity Building Initiative (DCBI).

The aid includes 4,000 individual medical kits, 12,000 turnstiles, and 60 collective medical kits to be distributed among military units.
