Modern Russian T-90M Proryv tank was destroyed in Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repulsed the attack of the Russian military.
Ukrainian journalist Andriy Tsaplienko reported about this.
Russia’s occupant forces tried to enter the recently liberated settlement.
The Ukrainian military intercepted the Russians on the road and neutralized a column of armored vehicles of the occupiers.
During the battle, Ukrainian forces destroyed a modern Russian T-90M Proryv tank.
This is the first confirmed case of elimination of this Russian version of the tank in the world.
Also during the battle, an infantry fighting vehicle and an MT-LB armored personnel carrier were neutralized.
Previously, it was known that the Russian military were using T-90M tanks in the Kharkiv region.
This tank was first spotted near the village of Kozacha Lopan in the Kharkiv region.
The Russian army received the first batch of these tanks only in 2020. The first batch was transferred to the 2nd Guards M. I. Kalinin Taman Motor Rifle Division of the 1st Guards Tank Army.
The T-90M Proryv (object 188M) was developed within the framework of the Proryv-3 and is an upgraded version of the main Russian T-90 tank, which in turn is an upgrade of the Soviet T-72 tank.
These combat vehicles received a fundamentally new turret and more powerful engine. The tanks were equipped with a new multi-channel sight, which ensured the use of weapons at any time of the day. Anti-accumulation screens and the Relict dynamic protection system are installed on the tank. It can also be equipped with the Arena-M active protection system.
