Operators of Achilles` unit FPV drones hit enemy Tor SAM

The operators of the FPV drones of the Achilles Battalion of the 92nd Assault Brigade has destroyed an enemy Tor air defense system.

This was reported by the Battalion commander on his Telegram channel.

“The price of one FPV drone is $500, which is 50,000 times less than the price of a Russian anti-aircraft missile system. The professionalism of the crew and craftsmen who bring each drone to combat use gives maximum results with minimal investment,” the commander said.

Judging by the published footage, the enemy air defense system was on duty in the field and was detected by an FPV drone.

The Achilles` operators directed the FPV drone to the area near the radar. The damage to this part of the Tor SAM entails the loss of combat capability of the combat vehicle and its subsequent costly repair.

“The AHILLES team has once again confirmed that quality and determination are more important than quantity and cost. We are ready for new challenges and will continue to fight for our sky,” emphasized the commander.

Hunting for Russian Tor air defense systems

The Russian Tor is a typical target for Ukrainian weapons, namely cannon and rocket artillery and drones.

As part of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, the Russians lost about 61 combat vehicles of various modifications as destroyed, abandoned, captured and damaged.

Recently, on September 24, Militarnyi reported that the drone operators of the 77th Airmobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had hit a Russian Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system. At that time, the Russian air defense system was also hit by an FPV drone.

Earlier, on September 9, it was reported that the fighters of the 5th Slobozhanska Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine had destroyed a Russian Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system.

The defeat of the Russian system took place in the Kupiansk sector thanks to an FPV drone operated by the Striks team of the National Guard Brigade.
