Poroshenko transferred drones and EW systems to the military

MP Petro Poroshenko transferred a batch of more than three thousand FPV drones, reconnaissance drones, and dozens of electronic warfare systems to the military.

The Petro Poroshenko Foundation has transferred one of the largest-ever batches of aid to the Ukrainian military, amounting to UAH 68 million.

The donors purchased 3382 FPV drones in 8- and 10-inch versions. Along with them, an additional 300 night FPV drones with a thermal imaging cameras were also shown.

In addition to the attack drones, the military will receive 134 Mavic 3 drones, which are used for close air reconnaissance and fire control.

In addition, to protect against Russian attack drones, Ukrainian soldiers received 40 Shatro electronic warfare systems.

Shatro 50-1M is an electronic warfare system manufactured by the Ukrainian company Unwave. It is designed to form a ‘dome’ of radio frequency interference with a radius of 100-250 meters around itself.

According to the manufacturer’s website, the EW system operates in the 900-1000 MHz frequency range and has a channel power of 50 W.

Ai-Petri EW system

In addition to local electronic countermeasures against drones, the Poroshenko Foundation is also actively investing in the development and procurement of Ukrainian-made Ai-Petri EW systems.

The Foundation transferred one such system to the military of the Counteracting the Technical Intelligence Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along with related equipment, communications, and pickup trucks for their mobility.

The Foundation has fully funded the production of the system and the training course for the military who will use it.

Poroshenko noted that the production of these systems has increased 3-4 times and is currently being carried out in two shifts despite power outages and attacks on critical infrastructure.
