Poroshenko transfers Wild Hornets FPV drones to anti-aircraft units
MP Petro Poroshenko has transferred 500 Wild Hornets FPV drones to anti-aircraft units.
The MP discussed this on his official Facebook page.
The transfer took place to the military of the 1129th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment, which defends Ukrainian skies and destroys Russian drones and aircraft.
The regiment controls the airspace from Kharkiv to Zaporizhzhia, so reinforcement with FPV drones that can automatically acquire and guide targets is essential.

In addition, the drone has moving cameras and can reach a speed of 180 km/h. According to Poroshenko, the military appreciates the Wild Hornet for its capabilities.
UAH 15 million was spent on the purchase and delivery of 500 drones.
According to the Wild Hornets volunteer team, drones with artificial intelligence (AI) also play an important role in modern warfare.
According to the volunteers, some of these drones can fly autonomously and detect targets at a distance of 300 to 400 meters.

The Wild Hornets use a system built on a Ukrainian microcomputer, independent of Chinese components. This system can track multiple targets simultaneously and distinguish between people and equipment.
Militarnyi previously reported that the Ukrainian group Wild Hornets has developed the Sting interceptor to combat the Russian-Iranian Shahed.
The Sting is supposed to be a cheaper alternative to the anti-aircraft missiles that sometimes have to be used to intercept Shahed. It is claimed that this drone is capable of flying at speeds of over 160 km/h and climbing to an altitude of about 3 km.
It will be piloted from the ground using VR goggles that allow the operator to see exactly where he is flying. The development will have an artificial intelligence targeting system that will allow the pilot to aim at enemy targets.
According to a Wild Hornets representative, the average cost of a Sting interceptor drone is ten times lower than that of a Shahed drone. This will save scarce anti-aircraft missiles. Modified FPV drones are already being used in Ukraine against Russian reconnaissance and attack drones.
