Rescuers received MAN based demining vehicles
Heavy-duty demining vehicles based on MAN trucks were assembled for Ukrainian rescuers.
Two such vehicles were donated to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) by The HALO Trust.
This international organization conducts humanitarian demining and eliminates the threat of explosive remnants of war.
“HALO was pleased to donate mine clearance vehicles and equipment. This was made possible thanks to support from Germany,” the organization said.
A special platform semi-trailer was also used to assist the pyrotechnic vehicles.
Mine clearance is currently one of the priority and long-term areas of work for the SESU.
Russians retreating from Ukrainian settlements are leaving behind thousands of ammunition that pose a threat to lives of the population.
The technical reinforcement of the SESU by partners helps to accelerate the pace of surveying settlements.
The HALO Trust has already conducted training for Ukrainian rescuers on the operation of the donated equipment.
