Rostec Hands Over Su-57 and Su-34 to Russian Aerospace Forces
The United Aircraft Corporation (a part of Rostec Corporation) has delivered Su-57 and Su-34 aircraft to the Russian Aerospace Forces.
This was reported on the UAC’s official Telegram page.
The Su-34 was delivered at the airfield of the Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association Plant, while the Su-57 fighter was transferred at the airfield of the aircraft plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
In total, the Aerospace Force received one aircraft of two types this time, which is different from this year’s deliveries, as previously the Russian Aerospace Forces received two or three aircraft in each batch.
Thus, the delivery of the Su-57 brought the total number of transferred aircraft to approximately 7 airframes, which were delivered in 6 batches. According to the UAC, in 2023 they received new orders for the production of fighters and bombers for the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Because of this, the production rate of the Su-57 is expected to increase in 2025, as has been repeatedly reported by the company’s representatives.
At the same time, the transfer of Su-34 aircraft has been more active this year, and according to published photos and videos, the UAC has handed over 10 newly built aircraft since the beginning of 2024.
The previous delivery of the aircraft took place in November 2024, which was the fourth batch. A month later, the fifth batch was handed over, which is likely to be the last in 2024.
As a reminder, due to the large losses of Su-34 aircraft in the war against Ukraine, UAC CEO Yuriy Slyusar said that the plant is seeking to increase production, as all UAC plants involved in the fulfillment of the state defense order are not slowing down production.
Prior to this transfer, the plant’s capacity allowed it to transfer two aircraft of this type once a quarter, which partially replaces the lost aircrafts that the enemy is actively using.
In addition to increasing the production of Su-34s, the rate of production of Su-35 and Su-57 fighters is also expected to accelerate.
It is important to note that Su-57 fighters are carriers of Kh-69 cruise missiles, which the occupiers have recently begun to use more actively against Ukraine to hit various ground targets.
