Russian Army Major Killed in Luhansk
Today, on October 18, a car of a high-ranking Russian military officer exploded in the center of the temporarily occupied Luhansk.
According to the Ukrainian journalist Denys Kazansky, it was the Chief of Staff for Military Service and Security of the military unit 53847 of the Central Military District, Major Dmytro Pervukha.
An explosion in the center of Luhansk damaged a UAZ pickup and a car.
“Today, Major Dmytro Volodymyrovych Pervukha, Chief of Staff for Military Service and Security of the military unit 53847 of the Central Military District, was sent to hell,” said Serhiy Bratchuk, spokesman for the South unit of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army.
He clarified that the Russian invaders have not yet specified who was in the car, but the information that it was Major Pervukha came from “friends” in the temporarily occupied Luhansk.
The explosion occurred near the cultural center on Oboronna Street.
“The reasons are unknown. Local publics claim that there were military personnel in the UAZ pickup,” Russian media reported earlier without specifying who was in the car.
Initially, some media outlets in the occupied territory reported that it was an ordinary accident and there was no explosion.
However, later a video appeared that showed an explosion of a car moving on the road in the center of occupied Luhansk.
The military unit 53847 is the 273rd intelligence center headquartered in Novosibirsk.
This center is directly subordinated to the General Staff of the Russian invasion army.
As previously reported, in July, a car carrying a high-ranking Russian officer exploded as a result of the detonation of an unidentified object in Moscow.
