Russian Border Guards’ Car shot in Bryansk region, FSB Lieutenant Colonel killed

A car of the FSB’s border regional department was shot in the Bryansk region of Russia on Thursday.

Baza Telegram channel reports, citing its own sources.

A Lieutenant Colonel of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation was killed as a result of the attack.

The incident occurred near the border with Ukraine.

The attack on the SUV UAZ Patriot by Russian border guards reportedly took place on the outskirts of the village of Ulitsa, Bryansk region.

At about 4 p.m. local time, the unidentified men opened fire with automatic weapons and fled.

As a result of the shelling of the vehicle, the Deputy Head of the Logistics Department, FSB Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Sh. died.

The Russian settlement is located opposite the Ukrainian village of Vintorivka in the Shostka district of Sumy region.

It is worth noting that the Russian Volunteer Corps, whose soldiers are fighting on the side of Ukraine, reported on its official Telegram channel that it had conducted a successful operation in Russia.

A sabotage and reconnaissance group of a volunteer unit ambushed the Russian invaders in the Bryansk region.

“…the sabotage and intelligence group of the Russian Volunteer Corps was on its way to its goal and successfully ambushed the enemy’s transport in the Bryansk region,” the report says.

The Russian Volunteer Corps announced that a video of the operation on the territory of the aggressor country would be made publicly available later.
