Russian bombers dropped bombs on the territory of the Belgorod oblast.

In just two days, five munitions of various capacities were found there. Among them was FAB-3000, which weighs three tons.

The Russian propaganda Telegram channel Baza reported on this.

According to the media, on Friday morning, June 28, an unexploded FAB-1500 bomb weighing one and a half tons was discovered a few kilometers from the village of Krutoy Log.

A short time later, another FAB-500 bomb weighing 500 kilograms was found near the village.

In addition, two FAB-500 bombs were also found in the Shebekino urban district. Later, parts of a three-ton FAB-3000 high-explosive bomb were found near the village of Maslova Prystan. All the bombs found will be destroyed.

It is claimed that none of the residents of these settlements were injured, and no evacuation was necessary.

The ASTRA Telegram channel sources also reported that on June 25, FABs were found on the territory of the Belorechye hunting base in Shebekino district, in the village of Krutoy Log, and near the village of Prysten.

The Russian propaganda Telegram channel Baza noted that “the reasons for the appearance of aviation munitions are being investigated.” However, this is not the first time that Russian planes striking the Kharkiv region of Ukraine have dropped bombs on the territory of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.

The ASTRA Telegram channel also found out that the total number of bombs dropped by Russia on its own and temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine reached at least 110 over the past 4 months.

A large number of such incidents are attributed to abnormal triggering of modified Russian bombs equipped with UMPK kits or other technical malfunctions, or crew errors. Their fall in this particular area is due to the large number of tactical aircraft sorties that pass through it.

FAB-3000

The FAB-3000 is a 3,000-kilogram high-explosive bomb developed in the Soviet era that is over three meters long and weighs 1.4 tons of explosive. It is capable of destroying well-fortified positions, command posts, including those buried underground, dams, and industrial buildings. The radius of damage by the shock wave to personnel is up to 300 meters. The bomb could initially be used from Tu-22M3 strategic bombers, but today Su-34s of the Russian Aerospace Forces can also carry these bombs. In early 2024, the Russians announced that they had resumed mass production of these bombs.
