Details of the deliveries were published on the 24UR website.

In addition to the already known deliveries, Slovenia has also transferred to Ukraine a certain number of armored vehicles that had not been publicly announced since the beginning of 2024.

Journalists reported that the Balkan country handed over 26 BOV all-wheel-drive armored vehicles. Six of them were armed with 20-mm M55A4B1 cannons and the other 20 with 12.7 mm machine guns.

The BOV is a 9-ton all-wheel-drive armored vehicle that has been manufactured at the facilities of Tovarna avtomobilov Maribor (TAM) since 1977.

BOV armored vehicles are welded from 5-8 mm thick steel sheets that provide protection in accordance with STANAG 4569 in the first class. It is capable of withstanding fire from light infantry weapons.

After the transfer of 35 previously announced M80A infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine, the country’s government has also transferred three additional infantry fighting vehicles.

In addition to heavier weapons, Slovenia also supplied military aid in the form of assault rifles, ammunition, and helmets.

Slovenia has also recently joined the Czech initiative to purchase artillery ammunition for Ukraine, allocating €1 million.

Also, at the end of last year, the government allocated €1.5 million for humanitarian demining in Ukraine.
