Soldiers of Azov Brigade destroyed armored vehicles and infantry of invaders near the town of New York
The Ukrainian Defense Forces are repelling incessant attacks by the Russian invaders in the Toretsk sector.
During combat operations, the soldiers of the 12th Special Operations Brigade “Azov” of the National Guard of Ukraine, in cooperation with other units, destroyed armored vehicles and infantry of the invaders near the town of New York.
The brigade’s press service published the video.
It is noted that despite heavy losses, the Russian invaders had continued a large-scale offensive against the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces near the town of New York.
“The invaders continuously sent more and more forces to storm the fortifications of the 12th Special Operations Brigade “Azov” and related units,” the soldiers said.
The soldiers of the Azov Brigade have released a new video featuring moments of Russian infantry and equipment being defeated, as well as footage from the defenders’ positions.
It is noted that all enemy attacks had been repelled by the joint efforts of the operators of attack drones, artillery systems, tanks and infantry of the Azov Brigade and related units.
According to the video, during the offensive, the Russians suffered heavy losses in personnel and equipment near the town of New York in the Donetsk region.
In September, the soldiers of the 12th “Azov” Special Forces Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine posed as the Russian scouts and captured three invaders.
As a result, two Russian military servicemen of the 2nd and 1st companies of the 153rd Tank Regiment, Valeriy Averin and Volodymyr Kolokolov, were captured.
The third one captured was a serviceman of the 69th Brigade, Sergey Zhegin.
The Ukrainian National Guard Special forces entered the Russians’ positions, convincing them that they were the Russian airborne scouts, and started a conversation, during which they even shared Snickers bars with the Russians. During the conversation, one of the Ukrainian soldiers revealed that he was, in fact, Ukrainian and calmly offered the Russians the chance to surrender, which they accepted.
