Soldiers of the 53rd and 93rd Brigades, Supported by Drones from the 28th Brigade, Destroy Enemy Soldiers in Toretsk

Infantrymen of the 53rd and 93rd Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the support of drones from the 28th Mechanized Brigade, destroyed a group of Russian soldiers in Toretsk.

The press service of the 28th Mechanized Brigade published the video of the invaders’ elimination.

Thanks to the joint efforts of defenders from different units, another attempt by Russians to enter and gain a foothold in the industrial zone on the outskirts of the city failed.

A group of invaders’ infantry was detected on the approach by intelligence officers of the Gyurza unit of the unmanned systems battalion of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the First Winter Campaign.

After that, the invaders split up, and the first three went to storm the building.

Closer to the building, the Russian invaders were met with heavy small arms fire from the infantry of the 93rd Kholodnyi Yar Separate Mechanized Brigade and the 53rd Mechanized Brigade named after Volodymyr Monomakh.

In addition, the enemy was prevented from regrouping by drone attacks.

As a result of the melee, one Russian was immediately killed by a Ukrainian soldier. The other invader managed to hide in a building and then began to run away.

But he did not manage to get far. His movements were constantly monitored by Ukrainian drones, which also dropped ammunition on him.

As a result of the pursuit, the invader was first wounded and then hit by a machine gun burst, which led to his death.

Fighting for Toretsk

Fighting for the city of Toretsk has been ongoing since the end of August 2024. During this time, the Russians have managed to capture a significant part of the city, but clashes continue in the city’s urban areas.

Ukrainian forces are constantly counterattacking. In February, the Vinnytsia and Kirovohrad Rifle Battalions of the National Police joined the city’s defense as part of the joint Liut Brigade.
