Tambov Gunpowder Plant Attacked by Drone Again
The Tambov gunpowder factory was once again attacked by attack drones.
Russian media published the video of the attack.
According to officials, two attack drones targeted the gunpowder factory and were successfully shot down by air defense systems in the morning of July 4, 2024.
Despite the official statement, a video posted by a local resident shows one of the attack drones hitting a target on the plant’s premises.
A column of smoke rose at the site of impact, likely indicating a fire had started. Additionally, shots from a firearm can be heard in the video.
No details on what exactly was hit or the aftermath of the strike are currently available.
It should be noted that on June 20, 2024, an explosion occurred on the territory of the Tambov gunpowder plant, killing four people.
At the beginning of 2024, on January 19, the plant was already attacked by an attack drone.
The retaliatory attack was not very successful, as the drone fell on the territory of the plant and did not hit any targets.
It should be noted that since the beginning of 2024, Ukraine has begun to expand the range of attack drones launched to target Russian military facilities and defense industry plants.
Militarnyi previously reported that a drone attacked an oil depot in the Tambov region of Russia, causing a fire.
Officially, it was reported that a “small fire” had broken out as a result, which had quickly been localized with the involvement of 11 fire crews.
