Soldiers of the 425th Skala Separate Assault Regiment stormed Russian fortifications near the village of Udachne in the Pokrovsk sector.

The press service of the regiment reported on this.

“The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that Kotlyne was captured, but this is a lie. The Russians have lost the village and are now desperately trying to retake it. The battles for Udachne, Kotlyne, and Solone continue. The Russians are constantly attacking, but step by step, the 425th Skala Separate Assault Regiment is knocking them out and taking position after position,” the regiment said.

The reconnaissance group of the 425th Skala Separate Assault Regiment had to clear 2 dugouts captured by the Russians. But after the assault began, the Russians left the position without a fight and retreated.

According to the video, the fighting took place behind the railroad, which the occupiers then fled behind. According to the regiment, the capture of these positions gave a significant tactical advantage in the Udachne area.

Counterattacks of the 425th Skala Separate Assault Regiment

The 425th Skala Separate Assault Regiment specializes in assaults on Russian positions and has been extremely effective in combat.

Thus, in January and February 2025, units of this regiment were repeatedly involved in attacks on Russian positions around the village of Kotlyne and in the village itself.

Eventually, this helped the soldiers of the 25th Airborne Brigade take control of Kotlyne village in late February.

Control of Kotlyne is important, so the invaders are concentrating large forces there. The enemy is constantly sending fresh assault forces to seize the village and the area around it to expand control to the north along the railroad that runs through the village.

Control of this village would give the Russian invaders access to the Pokrovsk-Dnipro highway, which is vital for supporting the Ukrainian Defense Forces in this sector. Therefore, the Russians threw significant forces at its capture at one time.

In early February, a group of soldiers from the 425th Skala Separate Assault Regiment cleared buildings in the village of Pishchane, Donetsk region, and captured two invaders.

As a result of successful assault operations, the Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to liberate most of Pishchane village, which plays an important role in the defense of Pokrovsk.
