The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the pontoon bridge of the invaders near Dariyivka in the Kherson Region
The Ukrainian servicemen destroyed a pontoon bridge set up by the Russian invaders near the village of Dariyivka in the Kherson Region.
A satellite photo capturing the destroyed structure was released by the NLwartracker Twitter page.
The Russians were using the pontoon bridge to transfer their troops and provide logistical support to units in the temporarily occupied part of the south.
The released satellite image was taken on September 5, 2022.
The author of the publication claims that the Russian pontoon bridge across the Inhulets River was destroyed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine aircraft.
The photo shows that the Ukrainian servicemen did not just destroy the pontoon bridge, as the invader depots located not far from it also caught fire.
According to the OC “South” report, on September 5, Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit enemy air defense units, areas of forces and means clusters.
They also struck electronic warfare stations and pontoon bridges near Dariyivka and along the Kakhovka HPP.
“The confirmed losses of the enemy include 86 invaders, 4 tanks, 12 units of armored vehicles, 4 152 mm howitzers Msta-B and Msta-S, 3 Giatsint-B field guns and Giatsint-S self-propelled guns, a communication station, and an anti-tank missile system.
4 enemy ammunition depots in Beryslav, Kherson, and Bashtan districts were neutralized,” the OC “South” reported.
Previously, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation lost the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and artillery system in the city of Oleshky on the left bank of the Kherson Region.
The vehicle exploded and engulfed in flames. The video shows a pile of scrap left over from the SAM collapsing on the right side. It is yet unknown what specifically destroyed the system. It could potentially be an AGM-88 HARM anti-radiation missile or a HIMARS’ GMLRS projectile.
