The General Staff has demonstrated how Canada sends weapons to Ukraine

Canada provides military and technical assistance to Ukraine to resist Russian aggression and sends humanitarian aid to civilians.

The footage of artillery loading was released by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Air Force of Canada has demonstrated yet another military transport aircraft being loaded with military aid to Ukraine.

The Canadian military handed over 155-mm M777 towed howitzers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The General Staff thanked Canada for its support and quoted their message, “You may have heard that our CC130J tactical air detachment has delivered nearly 2 million pounds of military donations on behalf of our allies and partners in support of the global effort to assist Ukraine.”

The Royal Canadian Air Force noted: “We’d also like to highlight the role of our CC177 crews [Canadian designation for C-17A military transport aircraft – Ed.] of 429 Transport Squadron in transporting1,3 million pounds of cargo and aid from Canada to Europe including the delivery of M777 howitzers. Our crews remain seized with this important work to assist Ukraine and support our military presence in Eastern Europe.”

As previously reported, Canada will purchase and send Ukraine 20,000 shells of 155mm caliber.

Defense Minister Anita Anand announced that the Canadian government will spend almost $ 100 million to purchase 155mm ammunition.

In April, Canada sent M777 howitzers to Ukraine, as a part of a military equipment donation worth more than $130 million, initiated after Russia launched an unprovoked full-scale attack on Ukraine in February.

The Canadian military conducted training for Ukrainian soldiers outside of Ukraine on how to handle large-caliber howitzers.

Also in April, it was announced that Ukraine will receive Excalibur precision-guided extended-range artillery shells for 155-mm howitzers from Canada.
