The military received 500 thermal imaging FPV drones from the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation
The Ukrainian Defense Forces have been reinforced with a batch of FPV strike drones designed to destroy the invaders and their equipment at night.
The batch of 500 “night” drones were transferred to the military in late October by the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation as part of the Swarm of Revenge 24/7 fundraising campaign.
The cost of these thermal imaging FPV drones was UAH 15,000,014.
The money for their purchase was raised through donations from people, Fest Lokal, and Uklon.
“These thermal imaging drones with an additional night camera destroy columns of enemy vehicles during their nighttime movement,” the Foundation reported.
The Foundation calls on everyone who cares to join in to raise money for the drones.
In October, Serhiy Prytula’s foundation also handed over 343 Darts kamikaze drones to the Ukrainian military.
Funds for purchasing these drones were raised through the “Hit the Bullseye” campaign, which ran until October 8, 2024, along with individual contributions from private companies and the public.
The Foundation has stated that the main advantage of these drones is their ability to destroy invaders and equipment at a distance of 40–60 km, depending on the combat load.
It is also noted that these kamikaze drones are equipped with a targeting system and are stable under enemy electronic warfare (EW) equipment.
At the start of the campaign, it was stated that the cost of one UAV was UAH 39,000.
The Darts loitering munitions by the Ukrainian manufacturer travel at a speed of 160 km per hour and can be equipped with a warhead weighing 3.5–4 kilograms.
