The Netherlands to continue to provide armored vehicles and self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine
Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte has said that his country would provide Ukraine with state-of-the-art heavy weapons.
In particular, Mark Rutte emphasized the transfer of armored vehicles and self-propelled howitzers.
The Prime Minister of the Netherlands also called on other countries to do the same.
He said this at a joint briefing with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Of course, Ukraine needs our military support. We need to support Ukraine with modern weapons. I call on all my colleagues in Europe and in other parts of the world to help Ukraine with heavy weapons. Our country will provide heavy weapons, armored vehicles and self-propelled howitzers. I want to call on our allies to do the same,” the Prime Minister of the Netherlands said.
He noted that the war started by Russia against Ukraine could last longer than everyone expected.
However, this does not mean that the world can stand back and passively observe what will happen, Rutte stressed.
“We have to concentrate and continue to support Ukraine politically, always declaring our support and constantly putting pressure on Putin’s Russia, as well as strengthening bilateral and multilateral political cooperation with Ukraine,” the Head of the Dutch government, Mark Rutte, is asserted.
He assured that the Netherlands will support Ukraine in all possible ways.
“You can count on us now, in the coming years, and beyond,” Rutte said.
As reported, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte pays a working visit to Ukraine. He already has visited Irpin, Borodianka and Bucha, settlements destroyed by Russian invaders.
As previously reported, in June it became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive additional Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers from Germany and the Netherlands.
