The Russian Federation deploys mobilized Crimean Tatars to the hottest areas of the front – the General Staff
In temporarily occupied Crimea, the Russian invaders were instructed to first mobilize the Crimean Tatars.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports about this.
The plan is to deploy them to the areas of the most intense hostilities.
In its morning summary, the General Staff noted that on September 27, two thousand mobilized people from Crimea were sent from Sevastopol to the Kherson region.
The primary attention is paid to the mobilization of the Crimean Tatars into the ranks of the Russian invasion forces.
“Military commissars in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea received an order concerning the priority conscription of the Crimean Tatars into the ranks of the Russian invasion forces and deploying them to combat units performing tasks in the areas of the most intense hostilities,” the statement reads.
According to the General Staff, on September 26, 2022, Russia mobilized 21 Crimean Tatars only in the Saky district of the occupied peninsula.
Tamila Tasheva, Presidential Representative of Ukraine in Crimea, reported that within days of the announcement of the “partial” mobilization in the Russian Federation, the Crimean Tatars residing in occupied Crimea received over 1,500 summons.
She noted that the Russians are trying to distribute most of the summons in the occupied peninsula to representatives of the indigenous people.
In addition, according to her, men over 60 years old and those who have underlying diseases are also receiving the summons.
Tamila Tasheva urged people in the occupied territories to avoid receiving the papers. If they are distributed during raids arranged by the Russian authorities in markets or in public places, the advice is not to show up at the military enlistment office.
In case a person does end up in a war zone, they have the option to surrender.
