The US is preparing a new aid package for Ukraine

The United States will soon present a new military aid package for Ukraine.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced the package during a briefing on Monday, October 2.

This assistance will demonstrate the continued support of Ukraine by the United States.

“This is our message to Putin. The President (of the United States, Joe Biden – Ed.) has created a coalition of more than 50 countries. He provided assistance to support Ukraine. We have gathered more than 140 countries to condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Ukraine has a strong, very strong international coalition behind it. And if Putin thinks he can hold out longer than we can, he is mistaken,” Jean-Pierre emphasized.

A White House press secretary noted that the United States would soon announce another aid package for Ukraine to demonstrate America’s “continued support for the brave people of Ukraine.”

The value and content of the new aid package and the timeline of its arrival are currently unknown.

As previously reported, the Pentagon has another $5.2 billion in defense aid for Ukraine.

This is approximately 12% of the total $43.9 billion in security assistance that the United States has provided since Russia’s invasion in February 2022.

Over the weekend, to prevent a government shutdown, the United States adopted a temporary budget that does not include aid to Ukraine.

President Joe Biden signed the document but noted that under no circumstances should there be any interruption in support for Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated that the temporary US budget will not stop the flow of US aid, which was announced earlier.
