Trophy Typhoon-K KAMAZ-63968 was taken into service by the 93rd Mechanized Brigade

Ukrainian 93rd Mechanized Brigade put into service trophy Russian-made modern Typhoon-K KAMAZ-63968.

At first, the Ukrainian military wanted to destroy this “Typhoon”, but then it became a trophy.

Currently, the 93rd Mechanized Brigade is working in the Izium direction.

On February 26, the Armed Forces of Ukraine captured the first Russian trophy Typhoon, and as of mid-April, about 10 units of such vehicles were destroyed, and several were captured intact.

Now one of the KAMAZ-63968 is on the move. It was captured in battle in the Sumy region, in the city of Akhtyrka.

It has armoured glass, but there are traces of shrapnel left on it.

“This Typhoon was stopped due to pneumatic systems failure, pipes. Guys wanted to shoot it from an RPG, but they changed their minds,” the military said.

Typhoon-K KAMAZ-63968 is a versatile armored vehicle of increased security on the original chassis. Belongs to the MRAP class vehicles (protected from mines and ambushes).

The armored vehicle has been in service with the Russian army since 2015. 4-class armor should protect against bullets of 14.5 mm caliber.

The body must withstand explosive devices with a capacity of up to 8 kg in TNT equivalent.

At the same time, the vehicle can accommodate three crew members and 14 soldiers. The vehicle is part of the family of the “Typhoon” armored vehicles.
