Ukraine’s military to receive D-80 Discovery and E-300 Enterprise UAVs
Ukrainian drone manufacturer AeroDrone has received permission to operate its vehicles in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
AeroDrone was certified and given permission to operate two of its unmanned aerial systems.
The resolution applies to D-80 Discovery and E-300 Enterprise drones.
The D-80 Discovery UAVs are known to have payloads of up to 80 kg.
Characteristics of Discovery DR-60:
- Cruising speed: 100 km/h
- Takeoff weight: 170 kg
- Fuel tank: 30 l
- Within sight range: up to 3 km
- Out of sight range: over 30km
- Overall dimensions: W.: 6.3 m D.: 3.6 m
Discovery DR-60 is a multifunctional unmanned aircraft originally designed for the agricultural industry.
In turn, the E-300 Enterprise drone has a payload of up to 300 kg.
The E-300 Enterprise was offered to customers as a courier drone for delivering parcels at a speed of 150 km.
Presumably, the D-80 Discovery drone was modified for reconnaissance missions, while the E-300 Enterprise is likely to be used to deliver cargo to military positions.
AeroDrone, the manufacturer of these drones, was launched by Ukrainian Yuriy Pederiy in 2018. The company had not reported any military developments before.
It should be reminded that over the past 30 days, the Armed Forces have adopted seven UAVs, all produced in Ukraine.
19 more applications from Ukrainian companies are under consideration, decisions on them are planned to be made by the end of 2022.
