Ukraine has demonstrated a prototype of the Bohdana towed artillery system to foreign partners for the first time.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine shared a video featuring the system.

At the eighteenth second mark, a brief clip of the trailer-mounted artillery system is shown, although it is described as a self-propelled system.

Back in early August, Miltarnyi reported that Ukraine was developing a 155mm towed artillery system based on the artillery unit from the 2S22 Bohdana SPG.

Even then, it was known that a cheaper option was being considered, with the installation of an already proven artillery unit on a Soviet artillery system carriage.

Several 152mm towed artillery systems were considered as options: Msta-B, Giatsint-B, and D-20.

As shown in the video, it is placed on the carriage of the 152mm artillery system 2A236 Giatsint-B with changes in its design.

The trailed version of the Bohdana lacks a protective shield and has some changes to the artillery guidance mechanism:

For example, a view of the 2A36 Giatsint-B gun:

In addition to the absence of a protective shield and the changed guidance system, the barrel of the artillery system is visually distinguishable by a different fixation. The recoil mechanism is covered by a protective box, so it is not possible to notice the changes.
