The press service of the 3rd Assault Brigade reported a successful defense against a convoy of armored vehicles and infantry belonging to the invaders.

The invaders were attempting to breach the Kharkiv region.

Units of the 3rd Assault Brigade, together with units of the 66th Mechanized and 77th Airmobile Brigades, destroyed the Russian convoy of armored vehicles using drones and artillery.

The forces of the 3rd Assault Brigade, namely the 2nd Mechanized Battalion, the Battalion of Unmanned Systems, and the 2nd Self-propelled Artillery Battalion, destroyed three units of equipment, and four more were hit.

“The enemy ran away, but some of the personnel were found and cleared—more losses to the platoon of Russian infantry, not counting the crews,” the 3rd Brigade press service said.

In the video, it can be seen that the assault group of the invaders was equipped with infantry fighting vehicles, and tanks fitted with massive anti-drone superstructures.

Presumably, some units of the 3rd Assault Brigade were relocated from the Donetsk region to the Kharkiv region in response to the deterioration of the situation in that direction.

The deployed units, along with the forces already stationed in the area, should stabilize the position and strengthen the defense to prevent the invaders from breaking through.

The DeepState team reports that after advancing for two days, the Russian Armed Forces focused on trying to gain a foothold on the existing frontiers. The defeat by the Defense Forces complicates the movement, the enemy partly regroups and tries to create additional reserves.

To coordinate units and establish a proper defense, the General Staff of Ukraine also decided to replace Yurii Halushkin, Commander of the Operational Tactical Group.

Brigadier General Mykhailo Drapaty, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, was appointed to the vacated post.

Until January 2024, Drapaty headed the Kherson operational group. He is known as one of the commanders who led the liberation of the right bank of the Kherson region. In February 2024, he was appointed Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
