Ukrainian air defense shoot down 10 cruise missiles and 23 Shahed drones this night

On Friday night, the Russian invaders launched 17 missiles of various types and 31 Shahed kamikaze drones.

The Command of the Air Force reported the hits in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

The enemy attack reportedly began at 22:00 on May 25 and ended at 05:00 on May 26.

According to the military, this time the focus of the Russian attack shifted east. The invaders attacked critical infrastructure and facilities of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

The Russians launched 10 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles from strategic Tu-95MS bombers from the Caspian Sea region.

Seven S-300/S-400 SAM anti-aircraft missiles from the area of temporarily occupied Tokmak in the Zaporizhzhia Region were also used.

The invaders also launched a 31 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drone from the southern and northern directions.

In the areas of responsibility of Air Commands “East,” “Center” and “South,” Air Forces, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, destroyed the following air targets:

• 10 Kh-101/Kh-555 air-launched cruise missiles;
• 23 Shahed-136/131 drones;
• Orlan-10 and Merlin-VR operational tactical level UAVs.

The kamikaze drones and several S-300/S-400 SAM anti-aircraft missiles striked the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Earlier, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported that air defense had shot down all missiles flying towards the capital. It has already been the city’s 13th night attack since early May. However, due to the fall of debris in the Obolonskyi District, damage to the roof of one of the shopping centers was recorded, also the cars were damaged in the parking lot in another part of the district. In the Shevchenkovsky District, a wreck fell on a detached house, damaging its roof and a window.
