Ukrainian Armed Forces drive invaders out of Novyi Komar village
Ukrainian troops have pushed Russian invaders out of the village of Novyi Komar in the Donetsk region.
DeepState Analysts released a video of soldiers of the 48th Separate Assault Battalion taking up positions in the village.
Some of the invaders were eliminated and captured, while the rest fled to the highway.
The village was cleared thanks to the successful actions of the assault infantry.
It should also be noted that a sufficient number of drone operators were involved in the liberation of the village.
It is known that soldiers from the 241st Separate Territorial Defense Brigade, the 31st Separate Mechanized Brigade, and the 23rd Separate Mechanized Brigade also fought in the area.
The village of Novyi Komar is located on the right bank of the Mokri Yaly River. The distance to the district center of Velyka Novosilka is only 5 kilometers. The loss of this village would create additional pressure on the village’s defenders.
On December 1, the Russians launched an assault on Novyi Komar. On that day, the occupiers sent 6 armored vehicles to attack.
At that time, 4 armored personnel carriers and one tank arrived in the village. The armored vehicles were carrying Russian troops, who immediately began to occupy houses in the village.
Velyka Novosilka is important for the Ukrainian defense of both the southern Donbas and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Velyka Novosilka has been one of the targets of the Russian offensive. However, in 2022, the Russian army failed to capture the settlement, and in the summer of 2023, the Ukrainian Armed Forces pushed the enemy back 10 km from the village as part of their counteroffensive.
But in the fall of this year, Russia was able to increase its advance at a record pace in the south of the Donetsk region.
